The example of the calculating the spreading of the energy of the early lateral reflections LF in the Theatre of Nations (ODEON 12.12) The red points represent the direct sound, the green ones - the sound reflected once, the yellow once - the sound reflected twice. The ODEON software considers geometry and the acoustic properties of the surfaces. And year by year the developers continue to increase the quality and the speed of calculations. ODEON is used for the calculations since 1984, its development is made at the Denmark Technical University (DTU). But, since recent times, the mentioned software environment developed a possibility to model the halls with the loudspeakers system, and the data base of the characteristics of the equipment for the electric insonation is amended gradually. The software ODEON was initially developed and used to model the premises with the natural acoustics only. To calculate all the required acoustic parameters of the architectural acoustics our engineers apply two main software envelopes to simulate the halls with the natural acoustics and with the usage of the systems of the loudspeakers: ODEON 12.12 and EASE 4.3.
